That i totally agree dental insurance is fairly useless. Something with eye coverage.
I can get a better price on my own. But with health no such luck.

You can go to MOST hospitals or doctors and negotiate better rates than insurance companies pay. Try it some time. They like cash!!! Insurance paperwork and lead times for payment are undesirable. Health Care providers pass those savings on to people that have cash.

I don't need any surgery, and don't need to worry about that. I have Medicare, which is better in every way that the dozen or so employer health plans I had before I retired.

I paid into Medicaid for 35 years. I really doubt that even a penny of your taxes goes to care for me.
