it's a friggin nightmare Kimba
i hate that crap - but i suppose it's needed to ward off the sleazebags
it appears to be getting worse as far as read-ability
i know I sometimes get frustrated like buying tickets
i am like "ok here I am a paying customer trying to spend hundreds of dollars
and I can't get thru the "captcha-crap"!

I thought it's just me, i had to click it at least a half a dozen time to get something readable and hope i got it right.

I wish the sample on the link was as easy as the ones i have to deal with. Most times it' squished up wavy word.can't tell the e from a s

Doesn't help they use fake words so my spelling can't be use to figure it out

Some of these are too illegible to read, and i have to try two or three times to get it right.

Those who devise these do not look at the words generated, so they do not realize, or at least do not care that they are a nuisance.

too illegible is right. but I`m not kidding about averging half a dozen tries. I might be bad at it. my astigmatism could be the cause.

Some versions of this work better than others.
The more the letters are distorted, the worse they are.

An "n" can resemble an "h" or even an "r" when stretched
