"Ted Williams memorabilia auction to be held in Fenway Park"

http://www.boston.com/Boston/names/2012/03/ted-williams-memorabilia-auction-held-fenway-park/PtWHc4aGvnnpeW1lOdV6TO/index.html

==================

Among the items being auctioned is Williams' 1962 license to carry firearms in Massachusetts. I got my first license to carry for the state of Massachusetts in 1970. There two kinds. They both allowed you to purchase a sidearm, but only one allowed for concealed carry. The other was for transporting firearms, like back and forth to a range. I would suspect that Williams had the concealed carry license just because it allowed for a greater range of flexability.

How much will it go for? Whatever someone is willing to pay.

This is like Charles Atlas' truss, or Ben Hogan's jockstrap.

Who cares?

Someone, for sure, but not me.
