  I am sorry, that did not copy as well as I thought it did.

  Software is the instruction set that a computer is made to follow.
  Hardware is the materiel part of a computer including the memory devices that contain the software.

   Wetware is the joking reference that computer geeks say is human brains.

   The caricter that uses the reference is a computer generated artificial personality , so she is essentially software herself.

This is well drawn, but quite obscure as far as content goes.

A cartoon about life in a complex imaginary future probably has an audience so small that the web is the only place it could exist.

I guess so , but the internet's not small.

This cartoon has been spoofing common SF memes since 2000, it is pretty successfull as such things go.

I suppose if it has a lot of hits, it can be considered successful. As I said, the artwork seems really good, but the humor depends on a lot of rather esoteric lore that I doubt many people are aware of.

   But...

   If it is going to appeal to geeks , that is more like an asset than a handicap.

It is apparently a successful labor of geeky love.

It is geekier than the entire cast of The Big Bang Theory, which seems to be the geekiest bunch in popular culture today.

That is what I like about the Internet: there is a place for interesting and often picturesque weirdos.
