Ben Carson super-pac
« on: April 17, 2014, 07:39:35 PM »
http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/the-fix/wp/2014/04/17/the-draft-ben-carson-super-pac-raised-a-massive-amount-of-money-over-the-last-three-months-how/

Quote
Glance at the ten super PACs that raised the most money in the first three months of 2014 and one stands out: the National Draft Ben Carson Committee raised nearly $2.4 million -- more than a half million dollars more than Ready for Hillary, a far higher profile group, collected over the same time period.

So, what gives?

The organizers are paying themselves huge salaries for their labors.

Ben Carson has NO CHANCE of getting the nomination.

It is fine with me if you give him all you can spare.

He seems to be a ranting right wing lunatic, for one.

He also seems to be Herman Cain, Act II. He enables 'baggers to say "I am not a racist, 'cause there is theis Black guy I supported in the primaries, until, well, he, you know..."

Send him money, by all means!

He is clearly smarter than Rick Santorum, Rich Perrry, Marco Rubio, Rand Paul and Ted Cruz, not to mention most igneous rocks.

I think that the TEA party is unfriendly to racism is already well established.

The Democrat party is more racist , but fights the fact with the tame black president.

Black persons that think for themselves excite extreme racism in the Democrat parties stalwarts.

And if you think about what justice Soutmayor was really proclaiming, in her rather scathing dissent, is that by trying to treat everyone as equal (the embodyment of what MLK was preaching) is now actually racist.  Talk about redefining up as down    :-[

Denying more Black students entry to the university will result in a smaller percentage of Black people in the professional classes. It will limit the growth of the Black middle class.  It will deny White students a greater opportunity to interact with Black students.  After graduation this is less likely because people are segregated according to income.

Soutomayor rocks.

Scalia, Alito, Thomas and Roberts suck.

Yeah, the Tea Party was just expressing whimsy when their members portrayed the President with a bone through his nose, or showed that nasty photo that Kramer was so fond of with Obama in white facepaint as the Joker.

NO ONE IS DENYING ANYONE ANYTHING.....THAT'S THE FRICKEN POINT.  THAT WOULD BE RACIST IF THAT WERE OCCURING.  Gads, only in liberal loony land is racism now the preferred act     :o

Any specifics besides calling him names?

What Dr. Carson statement or statements do you have trouble with?

Why would you associate those images with the TEA party?

Are the Democrats who made apish portraits of President Bush (or Lincoln) different than Republicans who portrayed Obama in all sorts of unflattering ways?

I read an article a few years ago about the Time Magazine cover that featured President Obama with his skin tone altered.

The author was intrigued so he had two photos of the president made , one with his skin tone two shades lightened and another with the same amount darker than real.
When asked which was the more accurate portrayal the point was not accuracy , the error was equal in both directions.

But fans of the president chose the lighter shaded president and those that didn't like him mostly picked the darker.

I did not say that Carson could never be nominated by the GOP because I have problems with him.

First off, he has never run for office and has never been elected to anything. He has never even served in the government.

I simply said that he has ZERO chance of getting the nomination, and donating money to his campaign will serve no purpose other than to enrich those collecting said money.

But fine, donate all you wish.

That is really a good point, but I am weary of the professionals right now , so this handicap does not repel me much.

If you were running the GOP, that would be a significant comment.

But you are not.
