I do not believe that allowing people in DC or Chicago would cause the crime rate to change much. Murder is a cultural phenomena. Guns simply make violence easier to practice.

   That is true , but it is also true that firearms can make violence harder to practice.

BINGO.....which the crime charts help demonstrate as fact.  Cultural to whom, I wonder?  Xo wouldn't be implying that certain races are more culturally attracted to murdering, is he?

  Chicago has definitely got some of the toughest laws on gun control , which it is quite lax in enforcing.

    There is no question , there is a dearth of guns in Chicago, but not in the hands of scofflaws , only those who respect the law are disarmed by these laws.

    What Chicago does not need is the recommendation of this author , that all the world should be brought "up" to the Chicago standard of gun restriction. This is a formula for spreading Chicago style violence everywhere .

     This is just so trite that people who disagree do not feel the need to refute the logic, but that is their failing , not a failing of this logic, that" when guns are outlawed , only outlaws will have guns" ,Yes , trite trite trite , but true and perfectly logical and in Chicago last week it was demonstrated.
