Totally unnecessary harassment of women.

Is it good to demand that Abortion clinics be clean?

This is not about clean. This is simply a ruse to make abortions for poor women more difficult.
Abortions are not generally complicated or difficult operations.

This is  about clean. This is only partly a ruse to make abortions for poor women more difficult.

What other than a lack of respect for poor women would lead a state to regulate the abortion industry much more leniently than any other sort of clinic?

Have you forgotten Kermit Gosnell?

http://www.theatlantic.com/national/archive/2013/04/why-dr-kermit-gosnells-trial-should-be-a-front-page-story/274944/

Quote
The grand jury report in the case of Kermit Gosnell, 72, is among the most horrifying I've read. "This case is about a doctor who killed babies and endangered women. What we mean is that he regularly and illegally delivered live, viable babies in the third trimester of pregnancy - and then murdered these newborns by severing their spinal cords with scissors," it states. "The medical practice by which he carried out this business was a filthy fraud in which he overdosed his patients with dangerous drugs, spread venereal disease among them with infected instruments, perforated their wombs and bowels - and, on at least two occasions, caused their deaths."

If this were about clean, it would not have one damned thing about the doctors having hospital privileges. It would perhaps be about inspections, just as restaurants are inspected.

With no cleanliness regulation , what would an inspector do?

Would the Abortion boosters of Texas like to remove regulation from all clinics ?

If there are strong regulations on clinics where men get vasectomies is this indicative of respect or disrespect for men?

This is not any sort of cleanliness regulation.

Unless Texas is truly backward, I am sure they have regulations requiring doctors offices, clinics, and such to be clean.

This is NOT ABOUT CLEAN.
It is about preventing women from choosing abortions.

That dork Rick Scott said he would sign a bill requiring a 24 hour waiting period for abortions. That makes no sense, except to inconvenience women who will now have to make two trips to a clinic instead of one. If they have no car or transportation,  it is a  major deliberate inconvenience. A woman who has already made the decision does not require another 24 hours to wait. In that 24 hours, she can be harassed and prevented from doing anything.

Yes , now they do.

How is this regulatory measure any more stringent than the requirements Texas makes on other clinics?

Now let me state, abortion is not about empowering or disenfranchising women, it is about Zero Population Growth.

If respect for women were the real point , then reasonable regulations for cleanliness would be no issue.

Now why were half of the abortion clinics in Texas so dirty that they would rather go out of business than clean up to the same standard that a vasectomy clinic must meet?

Does the Democratic party of Texas really show its respect for women by insisting that there be no requirements against filth in Abortion clinics?

Seems backwards.
