One of the arguements says they need to earn that right. But was not clear how this is done. Does that mean they need to be crime free for x amount of years. I believe most tend to not want to be caught in a crime to begin with. Not even sure many want all thier rights restored. Ex. Jury duty

You touch upon a serious and substantive compromise Kimba.....one that if the Governor had followed, would have demonstrated his seriousness to the issue vs simply a brazen & transparent attempt to garner Democrat votes, for an upcoming Presidential election

But now the cat's out of the bag.....its only selected rights that would only be helpful to your party, at election time.  Has nothing to do with debt to society being paid

  Question.

  Why are felons considered a Democratic voting bloc?

    People of all sorts commit crime, what about the experience of being a felon would make one lean Democratic?

   Is it possible that there are attitudes and behaviors that predispose people both to crime and the Democratic party?
