i have no objection to the goal but greatly question the method.

I`ll be an asshole and say this even if BLM get every single thing they achieve it will have very little impact to the homicide rate in the african american community and baltimore has proven it may increase it.

Yes.

A paradox is being created , it will be very hard for police to give good service to black citizens, and what we are talking about here is not on the BLM agenda in any realistic way.

Consider that black persons suffer murder more often proportionally than white persons do.

Giving the murder victims some relief would perhaps be done by arresting murderers promptly , or by segregating criminals prone to violence away from the society of good citizens , so that some murders never do happen.

But most of the murderers of black persons are black persons, so a campaign to prevent black persons from being murdered by removing willing murderers, would lock up a lot of black persons. (and a lot more men than women)

So what would a policeman do with the law to reduce the murders that the black people are suffering , while also keeping more black people out of jail?

That is a paradox just as vexing as the paradox of demanding that police be respectful of suspects rights , while also being vigilant for danger from suspects.

We are not demanding anything simple of the police.

I have nothing to do with BLM. They have a right to demonstrate.
I believe that all lives matter equally, and that  in the US, the reality is that people do not receive equal treatment.

I believe that all lives matter equally, ......................

Yes.

The standard for law should never be different than this.

I have nothing to do with BLM. They have a right to demonstrate.

What they don't have a right to do is insight violence.  In particular portraying all of law enforcement as largely hunting them down for sport, and trying to connect them to slave patrols of the 1800's.  That's not demonstrating...that's not protesting...that's inciting violence

I believe that all lives matter equally, and that  in the US, the reality is that people do not receive equal treatment.

There is some point to that.  Clinton gets away with federal crimes because she's a Clinton....has those connections, that Bill helped to remind AG Lynch about, on an Arizona tarmac.  Any other person would have been indicted under the current statutes, and at minimum, would have every one of their security clearances revoked, never again to be trusted with anything to do with national security

The solution is to stop electing racists.

Like Trump.

Minus any facts to support the accusation of course.  Yea, let's instead elect an incompotent, grossly negligent, bought off political crony, who thinks the law doesn't apply to them.  Yea, that's the ticket.       NOT

Like Trump.

Is the president we have right now , and for seven years past a racist?

If he is not, your premise is disproved.

But I am not prepared to prove that he is not a racist.

So your argument is not dead yet.

No lesser an authority than Paul Ryan himself called Trump a "textbook racist".

Nice misrepresentation. .... he opined that ONE particular comment Trump made was supposedly racist.  Others disagree.   Neither of which removes the FBI stamp of incompotence publicly connected to Clinton, in how she would handle our National security

  What about President Obama?

Is it his racism that brings us to ever worsening race relations ?

Not outwardly like a David Duke.  He's far more subtle and nuanced

I don't think he is subtle.

Remember his reaction to the death of Travon Martin?

That guy deserved greater consideration because he looked as a son of Obama might.

If that is not race preference what is?

Quote
You know, when Trayvon Martin was first shot I said that this could have been my son.  Another way of saying that is Trayvon Martin could have been me 35 years ago.  And when you think about why, in the African American community at least, there’s a lot of pain around what happened here, I think it’s important to recognize that the African American community is looking at this issue through a set of experiences and a history that doesn’t go away.

https://www.whitehouse.gov/the-press-office/2013/07/19/remarks-president-trayvon-martin

I don't see how David Duke could be more Grossly and heinously calling for special consideration for his own race than this, at worst there is equivalence.

After Seven years of post racial America we are back in the riot business.

I do see this nation desiring strongly to overcome the sticky and disgusting problems that we have endured because of race, the election of President Obama indeed is a part of this set of desires, there is a nascent post racial America looking for its way into reality.

But we have to stop electing racists, and assuming they are not racist because they are black.
