It doesn't work that way. If you want Plane or myself to "parse" the post, we're simply going to demonstrate how the more wrong you are in your use of the literal card. Is that what you'd prefer, vs trying to prove your point yourself via parsing Trump's statement?
I don't know.
Trump made an incomplete statement .
This seems to be a frequent habit of his, he makes about half of a statement and shrugs rather than concluding.
What I heard was an appeal to the people who value the second amendment to care and take action , as in vote , but he did not say -take action by voting-.
What those not fond of Trump heard was a warning that Hillary Clinton was a foe of the second amendment and the friends of the second amendment should take action by shooting her- except he did not say that, nor anything like that.
Making his statements open ended , unfinished , vague and open to interpretation , he does a lot , and I do not think he does it accidentally.
To some of us it really looks ridiculous to say that he said to shoot HRC , because he specifically did not.
He also did not tell us to vote against her for this same reason.
It is a clever trick, almost too clever, it seems that many of the press are willing to finish his words out for him with what they guess best.
