If your political taxonomy is oriented around attitudes to (or rather against), say, markets and private property, then strong advocates of permitting capitalist acts between consenting adults will, I guess, seem “ultra conservativeâ€. Still, when advocates of radical change are labelled ultra-conservative, you know you are dealing with a decayed and impoverished political vocabulary. One more interested in “hurrah†and “boo†words than an inclusively descriptive political vocabulary.
