Freepers make a funny

Discussing the news that Mary Cheney's baby will be a boy, a FreeRepublic poster concedes:

I thank Mary for having the baby and not having an abortion. Kudos for her on that anyway.

Responds another poster:

Yes, it is good that more and more women who find themselves pregnant after undergoing the arduous process of artificial insemination are choosing to give birth rather than getting an abortion.

Credit where credit is due. That was hilarious.

So, to stir the pot some: is it probable that children in these type of relationships will grow up to be healthy in all respects?

I've seen kids with awful parents turn out great, and kids with great parents end up in prison. How a kid turns out appears to be the luck of the draw more than anything else. I expect that will be as true in these cases as any others.
I speak of civil, social man under law, and no other.

Why not?

If you knew the family I grew up around, you might expect me to be one of the most racist people you'd ever meet. If you knew me, you'd see that was completely untrue. Not all kids march in lockstep with what they were raised around. They rebel and develop their own values and beliefs.
