I look at my nephew
he don`t have a mark on him
at his age I got a decent collection of scabs
I had enough sense to not do the crazy stuff he`s doing now
he got no sense of danger
it`s a goodthing he`s homeschooled
he`ll never make it in recess

What does your nephew look like?
He doesn't appear to be in the article you linked to.

I think the overprotection and fretting over kids at an early age is what leads them to being dangerous to themselves, their friends and others later in life.

They're trying to feel alive.

My mother did not fret over me and in my teens, I was a little bit of what they are calling wusses but I also did normal stuff like sneaking out, trying stuff I had never tried and so forth, more boundaries stuff that physically dangerous stuff.

It never interested me to ride on top of cars or slide around on mattresses.

A steep hill rank with grass and weeds and a large square of cardboard is entertainment for hours.

Or untill you have lost enough skin to call it quits.

no
I`m refering to my nephew as an example of over-protection
he`s not in the article
he`s just a normal hyper-active kid I personally know
