The problem is McCain's IDEAS are old.
He wants to continue with the empire the oligarchy wants to create.
We the people get to pay for it and die for it, they get all the benefits from it.

There is an oligarchy that controls the US. About 1% of the population holds 90% of the privately held stock in the companies that produce wealth in the US. If you have stock in a mutual fund, you do no0t vote those shares, the mutual fund votes by proxy to support the recommendations of the trustees. The trustees of the largest US companies, like US Steel, General Electric, General Foods, General Dynamics, ExxonMobil, Pfizer, etc. etc. are an interlocking directorate, where the chairman of this company is on the board of that companies that buys products from this one and retails them through that one. These people are imperialists, and seek to control the entire world economy, or as much of it as is possible, and they want to grow, grow, grow said companies not unlike a cancer until they are into every economic venture they can get into.
These are the clowns who made sure that Juniorbush, an incompetent clown, Cheney, an acquisitive sumbitch military industrial kingpin, and Rumsfeld, an authorittarian smartass infested our government and started a useless and unending war. This is the war that McCain thinks could go on for a century, or at least until every drop of Iraqi oil has been sucked out to the advbantage of ExxonMobil Shell, Chevron and the rest.
Every year there has been a greater disparity between the richest Americans and the poorest. The middle class is being beggared by debt and the mortgage crisis. This is INTENTIONAL. Every year the average guys's productbvity goes up, but his actual wages, or at least the amount of stuff (number of pills, gallons of gas, pounds of cheese) he can buy goes down, and the fatcats get richer and richer.
But by all means to continue to believe that Rush is simply an independent genius telling you the way things really are and not a puppet of this oligarchy. That is what you are supposed to do, in the same way the greyhounds follow the fake rabbit Speedy around the track and the chickens and hogs allow themselves to be suspended by one leg all the way into the slaughterhouse. Perhaps when their throats are slit they think they are going to hog and poultry heaven.
