You will be glad to read the interview I just posted, as well, XO. In some ways it just might prove your point.

Excellent article in The Economist.  Thanks, Cynthia.

You're welcome. I enjoyed reading it, myself. There's so much more to the world than power and might, eh?

There's certainly a lot of complexity that seems to escape these "either or" characters that like to make everything real simple for the voters - - there's "us" and then there's "the axis of evil."  Yeah, right.

You know, Mtee, there is a sort of valid point in all of this with regards to Us vs Them...in that there will always someone who is more  powerful than another in any camp...the law of order, I suppose.
But what gets me is that we as westerners...NOT JUST AMERICANS....think we are entitled to manipulate and take over other cultures and governments.
Geezzus....war isn't the answer, working together sans the battlefield is the answer. That's why I can't stand the arrogance that folks like Sirs put out there...and yet, I have to say that I don't rule out our freedom based society as top notch. I value what we have and who we have become in this world. WORLD.....

But, to push forward and fight an ant colony --when there could be an ant farm built around the trouble instead..?
Stupid....just plain stupid.
