watchmen trailer

visually looks better than the comic
but I hope they don`t screwup the story too much
It`s way too detailed to make a movie from the whole comicbook series
but bases of it might be doable.

Most celebrated graphic novel of our time?

Really?

I have never heard of Watchmen. I assume you need to hear of something before any celebration is possible.

Walkman, yes, but not as a superhero.

Hellboy II had a LOT better trailer.

"Time flies like an arrow; fruit flies like a banana."

you point something out that might hurt the flick
watchmen is a poipular comicbook series 25 years ago
it might be dated for today
but the same writer did v for vendetta
which his stories don`t really require contemporary knowledge .
whats uniques is the story can`t be cloned.
after all this times I don`t recall anybody ripping it off for thier comics.
I guess it`s too distinct to get away with

Watchmen is hands down the greatest graphic novel of all time.  It was written to be dense and adult and deconstructive and it was all of those things.

This is the movie I've been waiting for the longest in my life.  I dreamed of someday bringing it to life myself one day.

I'm so glad someone is doing it and doing it correctly.

I am beyond hyped.

This is not just another superhero movie.

I`ve been able to match every scene in the trailer to the comics except the viet cong getting blasted
I`m ok with that, but do you recall that in the comic
the mars construct is so perfect and I just can`t see the owl ship flying enough times
march is too far away, but after 20 plus years I can hold just alittle bit longer.
I can`t find my copy
I WILL buy one in the end of this week
now I have to check out 300 on netflicks

I think that blasting of the guy in Viet Nam was added to a shot in the comic of him being 60 feet tall and just blasting stuff.

Have you not seen 300 yet?  It is amazing and great.  Its' on heavy rotation on HBO right now and sometimes I just watch it when nothing else is on.

I started reading Watchmen again last night.  It's kind of odd to me how right-wing it is at times.  If the rightwingers give it the time of day, Rorschach and The Comedian may become RW icons.

Also, read this Wiki about Mr. A.  He's a character that Rorschach is based on along with The Question.

Those interested in OBJECTIVISM might want to check it out.  (UPrince, I'm looking in your direction.)
