I don't see a good reason for him to not do his duty to a fellow pastor.   Withdrew from the team?    You don't withdraw from  saving a soul, do you? I wonder what the real reason is here?  Citing "lack  of time" doesn't quite do it.

I wish they'd just give up the tax break and simply call their churches community centers/country clubs/political rallying arenas. 

Not that it'll happen.  But Dobson's actions really bother me, and I wonder if there's something else behind them.
