Bardot is respected as Goldie Hahn and perhaps Katherine Hepburn are respected in the US. France is a nice country, and the French are by and large friendly and pleasant people. The architecture and the food are unique and excellent. There is a reason why it has always  been one of the world's most popular tourist destinations.

I have no information about gum fetishism in France, unfortunately.

There you go. Somebody loves her. Over here, we couldn't care less was some old french whore has to say about Governor Palin. Well, some people do I suppose, but those people don't matter.

BB has plenty of fans everywhere.  Even in the U.S.A.

I am sure that Palin will be either forgotten (like Barry Goldwater's running mate) or despised (should we ever be so unfortunate to have her as president) and Bardot will continue to be respected long into the future.

First time I ever saw a picture of Brigitte Bardot was on the cover of the Detroit Free Press weekly newsmagazine, she was about 17 years old with long, wavy blond hair cascading down her back, and I thought this was the most beautiful woman I had ever seen or would ever see in my whole life.  That title now belongs to Sophia Loren, but I always admired BB and still do.  Shame about her politics, though.

Bardot was not supposed to be an actress at all. Her father was a bigshot in the film industry, and some of his buddies saw her lounging around the family pool.
