Obama is nothing like Carter. Carter refused to follow even the most rudimentary customs of the House ans Senate and alienated his own party. Obama is not rigid like Carter, and will compromise when it is necessary. It takes a bit more finesse to make it as a politician in Chicago and Illinois than to follow a cornball like Lester Maddox in the Georgia of the 1970's, after all.

But have no fear. If Obama is effective, he will be accused of despotism. If he isn't, he will be accused of being unprepared. The Oligarchy will probably tolerate him, but they will sic Rush and Hannity and their ilk on him with a vengeance.
