It also means that she was somehow unaware that a B i the mirror would be reversed when not in the mirror, which is not too hard to realize. I think most people know how mirrors work.

I suspect Munchausens syndrome , and it would be quite unusual to share a rare syndrome with an accomplice .

I agree. This was almost certainly a self-inflicted wound by one single none too bright individual.
