My Thoughts

Frankly, I am happy for Obama. His win comes on the heels of a horrible war. A wrong war.

Republicans have been known to say that the party has not stepped up to the plate.

Gone are the days of Reagan, Goldwater". . .I hear. (LOCAL RADIO TALK SHOW)

Perhaps Bush blew it. Perhaps he could have worked on a way to turn the century into a new world order.

To see the peace and joy in this nation is healing, indeed. For that in and of itself, perhaps it's worth the win of a liberal man such as Obama.

Frankly, ..again....I am glad to see a man of color finally win this election. His time has come, and a statue will be erected in the DC center stage someday, indeed.

We must never consider Americans as "wealthy white folk". Those days have already headed south, indeed.

We have seen a change in the world before Bush, yet he has been blamed for the "day after" switchblade" effect in the street that is central to our culture.

To blame ANY American for the dysfunctional world disorder is wrong, imo.
I have blamed Clinton for not paying attention to the falling sky. I have blamed Bush for many of the problems in this nation. We can blame until the cows move back home, but we can also
land on what is reality. We are all accountable for changing this world

Heck, Pick a Crisis?

a) economic?
b) terrorism?
c) gay rights?
d) healthcare?
E)..,my particular favorite....THE ENVIRONMENT. Without it, we have none of the above.

This century to come will change faster than we realize. We can no longer live in such a fast lane.

Question:

Have we ever really lived, worked, charged ahead towards a better future...based on the reality and lessons of the past?

The only arena that I can even "recognize" as an answer to that question is the lessons learned from losing a war (Vietnam)..not to mention losing healthy, vital men and women who fought in such a "conflict"...war.

So, perhaps there is a new air of peace in our hearts now. Can the hope give rise to change, in and or itself?

Perhaps.

Growth will always win over death and conflict.

But, there again, Bush did not chose his legacy.

We are Americans and by damn we are also responsible for owning up to what we can do to accept responsiblity in this world.

Recycle.
Vote.
Slow down the auto montsters we drive..stop the rage.
Find inner peace.
Give to those who are in pain.
There's so much we can do in this world.

Get involved in the next door neighbor's life from time to time.

Obama resembles that hope.

I applaud him for that.
