My feeling is that we have just about gotten to the point that health care legislation will soon go down the tubes. I believe that the differences between all the combined Democrats, both House & Senate is too great to achieve a compromise or shall I say a consensus to pass it. A Republican win in the Mass Senate seat race will be the final nail. But just looking at how close the senate race has become is enough to put doubts in Democrats heads. Seeing Ben Nelson take a beating and the precarious situation Blanche Lincoln finds herself in are certainly reason enough for them not to vote yes. So folks take it from Kramer that the odds are now about 60% defeat 40% passage at this time and quickly getting worse for passage as more time keeps ticking off the clock.
This will be a major blow to Obama yet it might help to save his ass or shall I say delay his fall a bit. When I say save his ass I mean postpone the enevitable landslide of dislike heading his way. In the end Obama clearly is already a one-term president, he just doesn't know it but I do!
