5-4, naturally.  The real abomination are the pro-corporate conservative judges, but I happen to agree in principle with the decision.  I think that there has to be full disclosure of the donor list and full disclosure of the ownership of the medium through which the POV reaches the public.  Crap put out by organizations with names like "Citizens for Clean Energy" should not be able to hide behind their sponsors' anodyne monikers any longer.

The court has struck a blow against those who would silence political speech.

Another great day in America!

I hope Obama doesn't get a chance to put any more people on the SC.

Unfortunately the older appointments are the liberals, but at least he should be able to replace them with other liberals if necessary and hold the line.  Maybe get stronger liberals, who can win over one or two conservatives.

FULL disclosure, simple as that.  You can donate anything you want, but everyone gets to know how much and to whom.  That way any hint of a quid pro quo can be highlighted and dealt with....just like that

I'm not sure why this concept is so hard to grasp or catch on

Seriously, that's one of the key ways I have, of trying to determine support for this candidate or that proposition.  When I know who's supporting and funding X or Y, I have a much greater appreciation for how I'm going to view candidate X or proposition Y

Trying to suppress who can give to whom or what, strikes right at the heart of the 1st amendment

Seems the decision centers around the idea that corporations have the same basic civil rights as individuals and i'm not sure they do.
