Jay Martin The Secret Service said Monday it was investigating two Twitter users who called for the assassination
of President Barack Obama, apparently over passage of the health care reform bill, ABC News reported.
One, who uses the name Solly Forell on the Internet, wrote Sunday, "ASSASSINATION! America, we
survived the Assassinations and (sic) Lincoln & Kennedy.
We'll surely get over a bullet to
Barack Obama's head," ABC reported.
Another who called himself THHEE _JAY and was identified by ABC as Jay Martin, tweeted
"You Should be Assassinated!!@Barack Obama."
Forell describes himself as a conservative blogger and "authentic African American" according to ABC,
who said Martin also was black.
The Secret Service told ABC News, "We are aware of the comments and are taking the appropriate
investigative action. We respect the right of free speech, but in such instances we have a right
and an obligation to ask questions and determine intent."
