Deploring the unfairness of liberal bias is about as effective as howling at the moon -- the existence of both is pretty much a fact of life -- but it's nevertheless worth it to point out the double-edged narrative that confronts any non-left-wing group with the temerity(!) to challenge liberal received wisdom.

Are they well-educated and affluent?  Then their critique is dismissed as "the populism of the privileged."

Maybe, rather, they're less affluent and not terribly educated?  Oh -- those people are the ones who are "largely poor, uneducated and easy to command."

In other words, the only protests that are worth honoring are those that come from the left.  Anything else, as Time's Joe Klein will have us know, is just plain seditious.
