"Citizens thoughtfully weigh the pros and cons of arguments before choosing their leaders--or so political science has traditionally assumed. Now experiments and computer models are challenging this notion, suggesting that voters tend to make emotional decisions that they rationalize afterward. "

Anyone can look at the campaigns of Reagan and Bush 43 and KNOW that propagandists run this country.  I don't remember any Clinton campaign propaganda.  Did he have a "It's morning in America" commercial?  Or "There's a bear in the woods" commercial.  I honestly don't remember any.

No one can forget the non-stop terrorism and 9.11 propaganda that Bush 43 pumped out in 04.  Even taking off on Reagan's bear schtick with a "There is a pack of wolves out there..." schtick.

Or how about LBJ's daisy ad but that only ran once, right?

And how about the notion that Bush 43 won only because he was the "guy who'd you'd want to have a beer with"?  Talk about rationalize later!

It WAS the economy, stupid.

During the Olebush regime, the economy, including Wall Street, sucked.

Clinton's term was the best single surge the economy had in peacetime, ever.

Scaring the crap out of people, as Reagan did with his 'bear in the woods" nonsense, or Olebush, with his Wille Horton bullsh*t was hardly accurate.

What did Clinton do to improve business conditions?

What was inaccurate about the "Bear in the woods" message?

Willie Horton was a real person , was he innacurately portrayed? Or was the Ducaccus actions twards him innaccurately portrayed?
