Report: Tiger Woods will pay $750 million in divorce settlement

It's a huge divorce settlement between Elin Nordegren and Tiger Woods.
Nordegren will get $750 million dollars but she has to stay silent.

The London Sun says the divorce has been finalized and Woods and
Nordegren will sign the papers next week in court in Orlando, Florida.

Nordegren reportedly cannot say anything publicly about Tiger's extra
marital affairs and Woods is not allowed to bring any women around his two children.

I see things differently.

This means golf has been very very good to him.

depending on how stupid the judge is, this means tiger has made alot more than most folks can magine.

banking on his potential income is risky, it`s not like you can force him to play better.

SIRS...personally I think the amount is just ridiculous.
No doubt...Tiger is a rat.
But divorce courts are not courts for punishment
They were married less than 6 years.
Why should she get $750 million dollars?
$750 freaking million dollars.
What special talent does she have that merits that kind of money?
She should get the house & maybe 25 million dollars & live like royalty the rest of her life.
Each kid should get 5 million in a trust & be able to cash in mega-wealthy when they turn 21
and thats it.....
he's the one with an extremely unique talent...not her.
he is the one like no one else on the planet
he is the one Nike is willing to pay 100's of millions...not her
he is the one Golf Week will pay 100 million dollars not her.
he is a human with a very very rare skill and is thus paid for it....not her
her tagging on for less than 6 years to that rare talent...is worth a lot...but not $750 million dollars
I am not talking what the law says...or what she "can get".
I am talking about what she deserves...
But thats just my opinion.

Because she can, apparently.  And believe me, it's paltry amount to Tiger in both $$$'s and in trying to regain his reputation.  That sum is largely for her silence, not punishment.  You did note that the silence is until she dies, not Tiger.  if he dies 1st, she still is to remain silent

In professional sports, its not just talent that brings in the big bucks.  It's also image.  Several years from now, Tiger will have regained much of his self destroyed image.  Worst thing that could happen would be a scathing tell all book from the spouse.  Bye bye image, bye bye future massive endorsements.  He'll be left to do underwear ads, if that.  I'm confident that Tiger believes this is a reasonable trade off.  We only see it as obscene because we'll never see such $$$$'s.  He will........in spades

I don`t not sure,but I got doubts tiger has that in cash in the bank. meaning it`s in various venture which may require her to keep her mouth shut or risk lowering the cost of these asset.I`m not sure he`s able at amount to have that much in liquid assets.

I never meant to say he had it in his wallet or mattress, but his overall assets, including golf courses, current advertisers, and homes, easily could reach those sums.  It's doable, may have to divest himself in several lucrative enterprises, but given what he's largely paying her for, it's definitely worth it to him, in the long run

that`s what I mean, it`s not in cash so some of it may require her to keep her moth shut or lose money by it`s devalue. like if his golf course has his name on it.

but I`m wondering since she got full custody, will she get child support to help with the expense of taking care of the kids.

Doubtful on the child support, as 3/4 Billion, SHOULD be enough to help out with the kids, with their day to day expenses
