Obama: My family would be fine with just 1 term

WASHINGTON – President Barack Obama says his wife and daughters aren't "invested" in him being president and would have been fine had he decided against running for re-election. But he says they believe in what he's doing for the country.

Asked about his family's reaction to his wanting another term, Obama said: "Michelle and the kids are wonderful in that if I said, `You know, guys, I want to do something different,' They'd be fine. They're not invested in daddy being president or my husband being president."

He says first lady Michelle Obama would be the first one to encourage him to do something "a little less stressful" if she no longer thought that what they were doing was worthwhile for the country. Obama's interview aired Tuesday on NBC's "Today" show.

What a coward to say such a thing. His ego is so huge that when he sees the handwriting on the wall that he won't get reelected he says 1 term is OK.

He says that he could live with not being reelected think that this is the sign of a "huge ego"?

That is feeble reasoning. Feeble and frail.

So let us get this straight: If Obama wants to be re elected, that means he is an egotist.

And if he is willing to settle for being a one-term president, that is okay with him, and THAT makes him an egotist as well.

Feeble, feeble thinking. Feeble and frail: faulty, frail and feeble.

i think the man is telling the truth
i think he liked the campaign better than the job
not much fun being the captain of the Titanic
he's in over his head and he knows it
i think he will 10 times enjoy life after he serves
compared to Bill Clinton who really loved the job
and seems not nearly as happy after it is over
Obama will be happy being the icon afterwards
of being the first 1/2 black to serve
giving speeches...making lots of money
playing basketball, golfing, ect....
that may be the one thing Obama and Bush have in common
i think both of them do not and will not miss the job AT ALL
where Clinton just cant stand it...misses it terribly...it was his life
