Republican Debate Last Night
« on: September 23, 2011, 04:57:52 PM »
just some feedback:

I have long leaned towards Mitt
Back when he was running against McLame McCain I was for Mitt
My brother on the other hand already has a PERRY 2012 sticker on his SUV
BUT...................
after last night's debate he text-ed me "Perry's Finished"
whaaaaa? I was a bit shocked to hear him say that....
I said why do you say that?
He replied Mitt is just so much more polished & Perry's educate the illegals pisses me off.

I still like Perry....he'd be a great President
any of them last night would be better than Obozo....
But after flirting with Perry I am now back in Mitt's corner.

think about it....conservatives will come around...they'll vote Romney happily in Nov
they want Obama gone soo bad
but the middle ground is what we must add to our tally
and i know lots of middle of the roaders that will vote for Romney
Romney doesn't scare them.....Perry does.
So for now.....it's Romney/Rubio 2012 for me!

You will see, Rubio won't be running. Maybe you can get Romney Bachmann: she's a member oof two minorities, sort of: moron and female.

Why does that piss him off?

i presume he believes that providing education to illegals
or anything else that makes their lives easier become
enticements for more lawbreakers to come.

Does he object to them being required to attend school until they are 16?

i would think so
if you dont provide education to illegals
then why require it?
getting them to leave should be the primary focus
and actually I have a new very simple plan that would do just that

ok i'll bite

phased in over 5-8 years....
every American citizen would be required to carry a Federal Citizenship ID Card
we have to show ID's when we get on planes
we have to show ID's when we rent a car
we have to show ID's often when we cash a check at the bank
showing ID's is pretty standard stuff in our everyday lives

to solve this enormous problem of illegal immigrants the American
People would be willing to simply carry one more card in their wallet
and show it often to stamp out illegals flooding our country and
putting a huge strain on our prisons, hospitals, schools, ect...

one of the problems with many of the state laws is "the pro-illegal invasion"
folks can holler racism....that's it's racist to ask brown skin people about their
citizenship.....so what you do is you have a new national ID card of citizenship
or another card that shows you are in the country legally.

so no one can claim enforcement racism if you simply ask
everyone of every color to show they are in the country
legally for almost everything they do....

you could save tons of money at the border and with border patrol
because basically business and gvt....providing everyday services
become your immigration law enforcement....

to get a driver's license you would have to show your citizenship ID
to rent an apt, to get a job,
to get any kind of routine non-emergency medical service,
to get any govt services, to enroll in school, to get a fishing license...anything
you'd have to show your national citizenship ID card....

with no jobs, no govt freebies, no housing,
no routine medical care unless the illegal self-pays
soon the illegals would start heading home...(they'd be ..."wow this new deal sucks!"
and the new illegal invaders would also dry up.
they wont come illegally to where they cant get jobs/housing/education
the price is cheap now...break the law...no consequences...lots of takers
make something a steep price....and there will be less interested parties

And what about the illegals who are already here. Round them up and deport them?
And change the 14th so it doesn't allow for anchor babies?

A national ID is not a bad idea, but it does mean that there will have to be many places where one can get replaced if lost or stolen. What happens if you take a trip and you lose your ID? You can't get back on the plane, you can't get money, you can't get a hotel room, you are stuck until you get a replacement. The more places that issue replacements, the more likely bogus IDs will be possible.

Perry really screwed up. We do not need some chucklehead in the White House that thinks there should be 51 Social security programs (I assume 51 because of DC, but then, PR and Guam and who knows who else would have to have their own programs as well.

Perry blows chunks. When a political midget has-been like Santorum can take him down, he reveals that he is a major loser.

BT I think you may have missed my point.... I really do.
Because as I stated that's the beauty of the Federal Citizenship ID Card
You don't have to round up anyone.
The card does "illegal enforcement" for you.
No border fence needed....because there's no "goodies" to be had if you are not legally in the US.
Like I stated....you phase it in over several years.
After that you would have to have the Federal Citizenship Card to
do almost anything....this country needs to cater to it's own citizens
not the world of illegals flooding into our country.
Who gives a shit what illegals want, need, or feel?
People here illegally would either have to become
citizens during the multi-year phase-in period or they would have to head
home because our country would not be a nice place to be if you
are here illegally...they could not get basic services if they are illegal.
Nada, nothing, zero....for people here illegally.
That info would get out and greatly slow to a trickle new illegals as well.
Go home and get in line like people doing it by our existing laws,
we don't cater or want you in our country if you come here illegally!

What would be my incentive to comply with this obvious overreach of Federal Authority. Why should i have to go get "papers" just because the feds won't do their job at the borders? They sure as hell didn't need triple proof of identity or citizenship when they drafted my ass.

Maybe Ron Paul was right, fences at borders work both ways.

Probably the same incentive that prompts you to take your driver's license with you to the airport
even if you take a taxi to the airport. You know you're not getting on the plane without proper ID.

Why should i have to go get "papers" just because the feds won't do their job at the borders?

I agree....but hey that's not working....so lets move on to something that will.

They sure as hell didn't need triple proof of identity or citizenship when they drafted my ass.

LOL....true....speaking of that...can you get your shoulder done for free at the VA?

Maybe Ron Paul was right, fences at borders work both ways.

Well in a certain way....yeah I can see that.
Like when we lock our car doors...we also "lock ourselves in".
When we get deadbolts and alarm systems at our house...
yeah there is an aspect of we are prisoners in our own homes...afraid to answer the doorbell.
But I also assume Ron Paul like many libertarians is maybe an "open border" guy
and that's one area....I split from Ron Paul.

BT....who are you leaning towards that was in the debate last night?
and who do you think looked the best last night?
