Blake was hardly a genius at philosophy or theology.

Again, a God that would deliberately invent elephantiasis. malaria of cancer would hardly be a kind and loving deity.

You don't seem to get Blake, he was indeed a geinus of Religion, Philosophy, poetery and illistration.

Do you demand that evolution be kind to accept it?

God is what he is, I accept him so.

What I learn is a gift, I hope to understand what I need to .

So why do we live in a world of threats, thorns and troubles?

I think it is because we are not finished, we endure an ongoing process as we live.

I suppose a log might feel unjustly used if nobody explained to it why it was treated so harshly in the sawmill.

Evolution does not have to be kind.

All that matters to evolution is survival. Survival of bacteria, viruses, microbes, parasites, hyenas, whatever.

It is an important part of the job description of a loving God, and that is who is needed for "Intelligent Design" to take place.

An omniscient and omnipotent God would hardly allow such things as elephantiasis, Guinea worm and a huge variety of ghastly diseases. There is no reason for the universe to abound in cruelty, but it does.

Why not?

If you loved someone, would YOU inflict elephantiasis on them?

How about guinea worms, or river blindness, cancer or leprosy?

Of course not , the people I love I attempt to be very good for,
But I am not God , I don't have to build them.
If I was God , and I did have to build them.
Would I be doing well to not let them understand misery at all?

I would think that chiggers would be adequate for this.

If the worst thing you had ever heard of was Chiggers,  would you consider them extreme and proof that God was uncaring?

I really doubt it.

Why would a loving God invent cancer and leprosy, guinea worms and elephantiasis? You have not answered the question.

This is Job's question.

God answered Job at length .

The short version is "As God I have the right and can understand the reasons whether you can or not."

I can speculate with a lot of advantage over Job , but I can quite be wrong.

I think God needs us to die from something, and we require an understanding of misery.
I am still working on what the ultimate purpose is , but I have deduced so far that living in comfort on the Earth is not the ultimate purpose of a man nor Human kind.

So we are in the middle of an uncomfortable process, being shaped for the misterious ultimate purpose.

Death is one thing, but crap like leprosy, cancer, Guinea worms and elephantiasis is not just mortality, it is ghastly torture.

Again, I do not accept the Bible as the word of God. The Book of Job seems to have been written by one or more sadistic mystics, or perhaps mystical sadists.

Where do you get that  a bet is made?

I read it as answering accusation with proof , or as performing experiment.

I have never met someone with no problem.

In any case in Job, God and Satan use Job to prove that Job can be plagued with all sorts of trials and will still be a believer.

It is essentially an exercise in divine sadism, with Job as the masochist.

I could teach Spanish better than you can XO.

I would not insist on learning any difficult to understand or pronounce words, I would not insist on perfection in grammer or spelling.

The students of your classes would envy the students of my class.

(Un)Fourtunately I have such poor qualifacation that I shant ever have oppurtunity to prove it.

You would be a good friend to Job.
