Thee was every bit as much greed in the Middle Ages (at least per capita) as there is today.

Greed is not the same thing as ambition.

Ambition is to improve your personal condition, preferably without screwing others.

Greed is where you have all you need and continue amassing more and more, and do not care whom you screw.

They say that McCain did not pick Romney for VP because between them, they owned 15 houses. That is what I call greed. It might look bad, they thought. I doubt they would have won, but we would not have seen the rise of Sarah Palin as Queen of the Hicktown Yokels.

Look at nigeria . Greed from it's computer literate population has greatly harmed the reputation that country it has a greater difficulty obtaining loans.  The scammers do use thier local banks names to add credibility to thier scams.

Scammers have existed for centuries. But the common thinking is the victims deserved it. But now the loss is so huge it effects all of us and that fact is still a hard one for people to accept.

This is true.

Nigeria is noted for major corruption at all levels. The oil companies pollute all over the place, the rulers get nearly all opf the money and the people starve. The Yoruba seem to be the worst offenders. The Ibo tried to secede in the Biafra War to escape corruption, and failed.

There are a lot more reasons not to lend money to Nigeria than internet scams.

Hey thanks Kimba....it looks good. This trip I am going with my neice, her husband, her three kids, my brother and his BFF. So I am not sure I can break away from the circus...lol. Sometime when I am out there by myself to visit my brother that lives in Orinda might work better. Friday a group of about ten of us are gonna do the tourist thing and go out to Alcatraz....the kids all wanna see it....so off we go! I'll let ya know if I see I can break away for a couple hours. San Fran is a great place to visit.

Indeed.  I've always referenced how Power is far more dangerous than $$$$.  While the left tries to keep the focus on "greed" $'s, as if that's the evil, they keep pushing more and more policy that gives them more and more power to dictate how you will live your life, what you will eat, how much money you will make, yada, blah, etc.  And with that kind of Power comes the far more dangerous evil
