whopper with cheese more likely since mc rib is a limited time only and maybe beyond his ability to score on his arrival.

The McRib is "a mechanically separated pork product" that is remolded in a rib shape. It is basically the restructured porcine version of what has recently been labeled "pink slime". despite this, the McRib is really rather tasty and not gristly at all. One can easily eat them sans dentures, it seems.

While the McRib is available for a limited time only, one can surely say the same for Jesus. He makes far fewer appearances than the McRib. It seems like they should both appear simultaneously.

I have found the McRib to be quite tasty, as it is smothered in BBQ sauce. I think it highly probable that the anti pork faction among the rabbinate would have been shouted down  and run out of Jerusalem on a rail if the Hebrews had discovered BBQ sauce first.

I did not have a chance to taste the Loaves and Fishes Combo at the Sermon on the Mount, but I would bet that McRibs would have been rated more stars by most of the gourmets on hand at that event.

Still I find the question an interesting one.  You hand Jesus a McRib and What would Jesus Do?

I believe that Jesus would keep Kosher.

So no pork, no catfish ,no cheeseburger.

Man would he grow thin in Georgia.

Did kosher practice exist during his time? Also is the law so strict  they strave then eat pork? Halel is not so strick. Pork can be eaten ,but some muslims tend forget that.

All the current Kosher laws existed at the time of Christ and were enforced. Any pork products are trayf, unclean and are forbidden. Anything from the sea that has no scales is also trayf: lobster, shrimp, carp. The intent is to eat no bottom feeders, since the rabbis noticed that fish have an inadequate waste disposal system. Any dish that combines a dairy product with a meat product is forbidden. The Baalites' favorite feast day dish was a calf cooked in its mother's milk, and that was seen as an insult God's creation and motherhood. Cheeseburgers are trayf. Strict Orthodox homes have two stoves, two refrigerators, two sets of pots and pans and cutlery so that not a single atom of cheese or milk can infect any meat dish, or vice versa.

Dairy can be mixed with dish and chicken.

Salad dressing has no dairy in it. It would be trayf to put mayo (which has dairy in it) on any sort of beef, mutton or goat.

I am sure that there are pages and pages written about this. I am sure that there are specific conditions about what can be eaten and what can be clearly defined as starvation. In the period between the destruction of Jerusalem and the present day, there has not been one year in which there were not hundreds or thousands of scholars debating the Talmud. I am sure Maimonides, a Jew who pretended to be a Muslim and lived in Cordoba, then Acre, then Cairo, wrote about this.

Here is a list of famous rabbis.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_rabbis

The fact is that vegetables, grass and even some insects are approved and kosher. It is pretty rare when the only thing one has available to eat is a pig, a cheeseburger or a lobster.

There is a reason behind most dietary laws. Red tide is one that involves seafood. Trichinosis is a parasite that comes from eating undercooked pork. The original Philistines were fond of pork, and arrived on boats with pigs, probably from Greece.

If you really want to get into this, read this book:

rare?

i recall in roman times alot of jews were locked up and I got doubts the romans were respectful of thier dietary needs. I would imagine the nazi would give all non-kosher foods to see if they would break habits.

but I think it did happen in russia though, soviet jews do eat pork and alot of it. I saw a documentary and it show pork is served in isreal because of the soviet jews and they refuse to give it up.

There are a lot of Jews who do not keep kosher. My experience here in Miami is maybe one in twelve at most keeps kosher.
It is common that those who do not keep kosher will have members of their family who do not, and vice versa. There are experts that one can hire to rekosher a non kosher kitchen.

In Israel, pork is called "white meat". There are restaurants that specialize in serving pork in Israel.

The traditional cop out is Jews go to Chinese buffet restaurants and eat chow mein, chop suey and other mixed dishes. The idea is that if you don't know what it is, then it doesn't count. The Rabbis would disagree with this, of course.

Pastrami is beef cured to taste like ham. Personally, I like turkey pastrami, which tastes like beef pastrami. I assume it has less cholesterol.

Some people in Spain have bred geese that tastes like pork. It is okay to eat it. God did not ban a taste, just the animal.

That is typical New York Jewish humor.

It is possible that there are people who sort of believe it, I think.

   Kosher means "proper" or "lawfull".
Any food fixed in the wrong way is not Kosher.
One time some picky people noticed that Jesus's deciples were eating some wheat right off the stalks , rolling the grains in their hands to get the seed seprated from the chaff.
The deciples were accused of doing work on the sabbath, which is not kosher at all.

Jesus used this as an oppurtunity for teaching, " Is the law for man or is man for the law?"
