Week 4 and still counting
« on: July 09, 2012, 11:21:01 AM »
I fianally got accepted to work permanately at my new job . They really like what I can do there, but the processing to get in is incredibly long . I still haven't taken the drug test yet. I'm beggining to think one more factor to unemployment is the incredibly hard and long hiring process. I filled two seperate entry applications and several phone approvals. Everybody in the firm thinks I'm in but I'm still not on the payroll. It's almost a month and haven't seen the paperwork for my w-2.

Any company with a promise of immediate hire with same pay can easily get me right now

Note , I did not apply for this job. They called me to work for them because of my reputation. So it's even hader for the average person finding work the normal way.

  Congradulations!

The recession is over when all of your buddys find work. I just spoke to an old friend who recently landed a job managing a brace of apartments in Orange Beach Alabama. He thinks it is terriffic, he has always been a people person, fixing the disgruntled client has been his speciality. This must be the thirtyeth job in his career.

I on the other hand have the same job I had thirty years ago. I do it well, but I am not learning much that would travel. I guess that a really good economy would offer lots of diffrent types of jobs.
