Charlotte is pretty devoid of any sizable Hispanic community. They will work this out eventually.It is of no real consequence.

Apparently it is of consequence, for it to be brought out in a house caucus meeting. And Charlotte certainly does have a sizable hispanic population, the first time i encountered an English/Spanish ATM was in Charlotte about 12 years ago.

    White: 50.0% (Non-Hispanic Whites: 45.1%)
    Black or African American: 35.0%
    Hispanic or Latino American (of any race): 13.1%
    Asian American: 5.0%
    Native American: 0.5%
    Native Hawaiian or Other Pacific Islander: 0.1%
    some other race: 6.8%
    two or more races: 2.7%

How many of that 13.1% do you think have services that the Convention could use?
This has been brought to the Party's attention and they will work it out. It is hardly any big deal.

Since it the Democrat Convention, they need to set aside contracts with the following target quotas:

BTW 18% Hispanic is not insignificant.

If this were the GOP convention then the bids would be awarded by merit with no quota set asides.

And "merit" would be determined by the business and/or family relationship between the guy writing the checks and the contractors.
