If true, my respect meter for Romney just went up 3 fold.  If true, the GOP needs to get their gears in order and make it crystal clear that Ryan's budget reforms, which are no where near near enough, are both a valid starting point at returning this country to some fiscal sanity, and that they do not affect anyone over the age of 55.  Period

Paul Ryan is a very good pick for Mitt Romney for a whole lot of reasons.
Paul Ryan will energize a sector of the Republican base that is/was leery of Romney.
From Sarah Palin to Mitch McConnell....most of the party will be happy with this choice.
Paul Ryan has a good balance of youth, experience, and policy wonk.
Even-though Paul Ryan has been in Washington over ten years, he has the feel of an outsider.

And yeah i know he had trouble putting together sentences during the debate, but that is no longer a qualification as of Biden.  But that isn't what he brings to the table. He brings fierce determination to cut back the federal Goliath and return power to the states as the founders intended.
