The US cannot invade Pakistan. The Pakistanis will have to handle their own country for themselves.
There are a lot of fundie preachers that think they are at war with Islam. They are just as silly as the Muslim fundies, except the latter are more numerous. In any case, the US cannot declare war on a religion, and could not win no matter how hard it tried.
The unrest in Pakistan is that there is a large bubble of unemployed, uneducated, illiterate men in the population. They have no jobs and cannot marry,and their horniness and frustration has become directed at politics by various manipulators.
Iran has apparently sued for peace talks, as the economy is collapsing, thanks to Obama and his ability to get allies in the embargo against Iran.
