Who are those Guys?
« on: October 30, 2012, 02:52:50 PM »
Who are those guys? That line from "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid" comes to mind when I think about this election. Romney has no set of beliefs. He'll say anything anytime anywhere he thinks it fits. We have no idea what he'll do if elected.  Obama? He appears to have run out of gas. I haven't heard one new idea from him in months.  Nothing.

We're flying completely blind here. I've never seen anything like it.

I agree BSB. I keep thinking to myself 'We deserve better than this', but this is what the American people have come to accept from their candidates and politicians in general. As long as they accept it, that's just what they are going to get.

Good way to define "moderate".

If a guy finds out where the middle is and then decides what he thinks , I hate to give him credit for thinking.

The Republicans had several less moderate canadates , perhaps one of them had potential to inspire the public .

Romney seems OK , but how is no flavor going to be anyones favoriate flavor?

This looks like a close election , inspite of the huge numbers eager for change.

Romney is just some sort of technocrat who wants to do what Daddy George tried and failed at. So did Mormon prophet Joseph Smith, who also wanted to be president. Romney does not care whether 40% of the wealth goes to 1% of the people, and all of his stupid five points have been tried and failed miserably. The only thing worse than Romney is Ryan, who is an even bigger ratbag right winger. Romney has no principles at all. He left Mass with a 36% favorable rating, and has no chance whatever to get a majority of the people of Mass to vote for him. Ryan is a boneheaded Randian twerp. We will all be better off if he sinks into total obscurity after this election.

President Obama has had the hardest job for a president since Roosevelt, and has done a good job, considering the lame pricks in the opposition. He lacks the bargaining skills of Bill Clinton, but Clinton also was very limited by the asshole Republicans, who are a vile curse on this country.

The only thing worse than the scheming Oligarchy-loving Republicans are the teabaggers, who combine ignorance and stupidity with sheer stubbornness.

".................. Romney does not care whether 40% of the wealth goes to 1% of the people,........."

Why should he ?

Why should you or anyone elese care if people get to keep more of what they earn?

If 90% of the wealth went to the 1/2% that produced it, why should anyone feel hurt?

You are already talking about the guys that pay 75% of the federal budget , which includes my pay and some of your benefits.

And we don't even send them a card at Christmass.

This is not about Christmas cards.

Rule by an oligarchy will never result in individual freedom. Corporations can screw people worse than any government. Every mining town in Appalachia pretty much was a slave plantation. That is where the Koch Brothers want to take us.

So why prefer government masters in the same role?
