Nonetheless, taxes are at an all time LOW.

No, they're not.  Here in CA, they're now leading the nation in just about every category...income, sales, corporate, etc., and are now even higher, following the last election cycle.  That being said, are you ready to accept Clinton-like spending limits for your Clinton taxes that you keep harping about??

OOoooooooooooooooooh......

I get it !

Tax recipts as a purportion of the economy are down , because we have an increase in people who pay nothing and an increase in exemptions.

The tax rates are not especially low , they were lower under Bush , they were lower under Clinton.

But as the economy gets depressed so do tax Payments.

I would not have figured out what XO was talking about without Google to help.

Quote
..American families and businesses will pay less in federal taxes than they did under former President George W. Bush, thanks to a weak economy and a growing number of tax breaks for the wealthy and poor alike.

Income tax payments this year will be nearly 13 percent lower than they were in 2008, the last full year of the Bush presidency. Corporate taxes will be lower by a third, according to projections by the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office.
.......................
At the request of The Associated Press, The Tax Institute at H&R Block compared 2008 and 2010 tax bills for families at various income levels, showing how their taxes have changed since Obama took office. Taxpayers are filing their 2010 tax returns this spring, while 2008 was the last full year that Bush was president. The scenarios assume that each family had the same income, filing status and number of dependent children in both years.

Income tax rates remain unchanged. But many taxpayers are seeing their bills drop under Obama because of more generous tax credits for college students, working families, homebuyers and the working poor. Many of the changes were enacted as part of the big economic stimulus package passed in 2009.

Most tax RATES are also at an all time LOW.

Let's see you prove otherwise.

Let's try this 1 more time, to ultimately determine just how sincere you are with the current overriding debt (that you and the left were all over Bush for, when it was a mere fraction of what it currently is)......are you ready to accept Clinton-like spending limits for your Clinton taxes that you keep harping about??

Which taxes are lower than they were eight years ago?

There is a new form of tax , the Affordable health care act is a huge new tax not on income or consumption, but on access to health insurance.

It counts doesn't it?

No, it does NOT count. Not yet. It does not go into effect until 2014.

And of course, it is a service that most people will pay for with money they were paying already for health care.
Providing health care in hospital ER rooms is extremely inefficient.
