This is an interesting tale of the South pacific, England's last colonial venture, the Phoenix Island Settlement Scheme, known as P.I.S.S. (really, I am not making this up).

The whole thing could make a great movie. Perhaps two great movies: one a tragedy about a failed colonial utopia, and another, a comedy involving Pacific Islanders being ruled by a young and perhaps clueless Englishman.
