Ok
I eat straight gluten, but not with every meal. Just when my food goes with it . My bread consumption is so low i have to plan to eat bread to finish it off. Ex. Buy sandwich meat ,hotdogs etc.

Moderation. It's that simple.
Agree...moderation is very important & a practical way to start towards a goal.
With that said...moderation is a relative term.
I suppose "moderation" in smoking is better than heavy smoking.
but what the heck....no smoking is even better!
"Moderation" in eating cheeseburgers is better than eating cheeseburgers everyday!

IMO...the average current American diet has way, way, way, too much wheat.
Fast food restaurants are serving up billions in wheat products.
There is not much "wheat moderation" going on if you walk down aisles of grocery stores.
Checkout baskets are full of wheat items....and it's contibuting to massive health problems.
It's almost like being in a liquor store and looking for non-alcohol stuff.
Sure it's there....but not really what people are buying much of.
What is simple is "2EachHisOwn".
You don't think wheat is bad for you.....I say good for you!

I eat wheat and I'm trim.
It's involves much more than being trim or not trim.
Plenty of diabetics are trim.
Wheat raises glycemic levels higher than sweets.
Wheat also plays a role in many other ailments.

CU eats wheat and I guess he has a big belly. Such is life.
I've been blessed with not ever having weight issues.
At 6.1 about 200 lbs.....I feel pretty good in my Levi 514's!
People ask me "why do you watch what you eat so close"...you're skinny"
I always think to myself....."hell if I wait til I'm fat it's too late!"

Get serious: wheat is NOT a poison. It may not be the healthiest thing you can eat, but come on.

Warfarin is a poison. Cyanide is a poison. My Uncle Frank was an MD lived to be 99½ and ate about six slices of white toast a day.

Ok
Speaking of mutating foods. Tim ferres in a interview said actually eating fruit is worst than table sugar since it's been bred with a different sucrose

My Aunt Maude, God Bless Her...
she smoked at least a 1 pack of cigarettes everyday until she died at 92 years old back in 2001.

So maybe this means cigarettes are "ok"?

NOT!

So, cigarettes are not poison, either. They just aren't good for you.

Wheat is less a health threat for most people than cigarettes. At most, it makes you gain weight.

My uncle Frank quit smoking in 1931. My father quit in 1979, after his second heart attack. My father died at 86,and didn't get as much exercise as his  brother (my father). So I suppose that cigarettes, exercise and other differences cost Dad 13 years.

I quit smoking 34 years ago and go to an exercise class three times a week.

Do you have any relatives addicted to, perhaps cyanide  or hemlock?

I suppose that whole wheat is not really a good term, since "whole" suggests that it has all the wheat in it, while white bread either has had elements of wheat removed from it, or something non-wheat added to it.

"Wheat is a poison" is either false of a gross exaggeration.

BSB....if that's all it was...I'd follow your advice.

But it's in almost everything in the grocery store.

I would guess-estimate that 80% of edible products
at grocery store contain some form of wheat.

It's hard as hell to avoid wheat.....
I am trying.
It's a daily battle.

Wheat is less a health threat for most people than cigarettes. At most, it makes you gain weight.

I'm not so sure about that....but regardless wheat is being eaten by almost everyone,
and most people dont smoke.....so in reality....wheat is the bigger threat to most people.
At most?....Ha Ha
Do you not realize Obesity is a HUGE HUGE and growing health problem in the United States?
Obesity is near epidemic levels...causing across the board health problems.

Poison does not make you fat. Poison makes you dead.

The term"whole wheat" seems inaccurate. If whole wheat is good for you and white bread is not, it seems to suggest that something is removed, altered or replaced from the wheat grain before baking it into Wonder bread.

I eat one Publix bakery kaiser roll or bun once a day, and pasta occasionally, perhaps once a week or less.

i bet you are eating wheat at almost every single meal knowingly or unknowingly.
even canned veggies have wheat prouducts in them.
some of the only wheat free foods are fresh whole foods
meats, fresh veggies, fresh fruit, eggs

CU, while I applaud highly focused effort in most directions, without being sure I wonder if this effort of yours isn't somewhat misguided. That's all.

I take the advice XO mentioned. I stick to the outer rim of the supermarket. Away from the processed foods. Fresh veggies, fruits, poultry, fish, etc. And for grains I stick with the whole grains and stay away from the processed like white rice, white bread, and so forth.
