This is a stupid ad that is more likely to win her support than turn people against her.

One response might be a series of clips suggesting McConnell resembles various reptiles: Galapagos tortoises, Ninja Turtles and such as slow, ugly and dull. How any voter could ever get excited about McConnell is one of life's mysteries.

Does it not seem odd to decry ads as mean and petty if one side does it and proclaim them creative genius for the common good if the other side does it?

It is actually stupid either way, since the objective is to elect competent and experienced people. If they are loud or ugly, this is largely unrelated. LBJ was plenty ugly, but he was our most competent president in that he got more difficult things done.

I would think that "Grimes" is not a great name for a politician. Certainly better than Hitler,  Crook, or Lipshitz, but not among the best.

I am often surprised by the stupid stuff that works.

And the low esteem the public gets from our governing personalitys.

I had serious disagreements with Howard Deen, but I was not the least offended with his shouting at his own pep rally.

I was flabbergasted whne in debate our president asserted that our Navy ,because of the recent development of submarines and carriers , didn't need horses and bayonets as much as it once did.

I was even more flabbergasted that the canadate opposing him did not laugh , or respond in any sensable way, either he was gobsmacked by the nonsequeter or perhaps he was also very ignorant about the Navy.

Perhaps this funny , goofy , silly and stupid advertisement will have reverse effect just as you propose it might, but history is full of stupid stuff that did work as if by majick.

I also tried to find something elese to speak of Mrs. Grimes , but she hasn't had a lot of mistakes in her short career.

Nor much elese, ...

She has family connection, does she count as an Archeron?
