Yes allowing the Boy Scouts a private organization to make their own decision.
The BSA certainly has the right to commit suicide by caving to political correctness.
Once the homos are allowed as Scout Masters most parents are not going to send
their young boys on weekend campouts with adult homosexual men.

One need not change any word to allow a gay person to be a scout or a scoutmaster. It is quite naive to believe that prior to the present, there were never any gay scouts or scoutmaster. I bet that there were Cub Scots who had Den Fathers. Perhaps there were Den Mothers who had a fetish for smaller boys.

CU needs to understand that the entire perspective about being gay has changed in this country and the rest of the modern world. It is dumb to assume that a gay scoutmaster would only volunteer for the job because he wants to molest young boys. The Holy Mother Church has rather a large number of priests who have molested both boys and girls. Surely there have been thousands of lesbian nuns over the past thousand years. CU apparently wants to return to the days when gays were arrested and thrown in jails and mental institutions, any sort of gay activity was hidden and never discussed.

In my BSA Troop 211, there was this old crippled guy named Harvey Wassen, a WWI vet, who attended every one of the Troop 211 meetings. He was in a wheelchair and crippled. He had not been a Scout as a boy, he said, but he wanted to support us by coming to the meetings. He always wore his scout uniform and never missed a meeting. he did not actually do anything, but just sit there are look at us Scouts. I thought old Harvey was strange, but no one ever said anything about it. Maybe old Harvey was gay and came to leer at us Scouts. He certainly did no one any harm.

I never thought that there was anything strange about Batman and Robin, either, and neither did anyone else that I know. 

There is no desire to control anyone in the Boy Scouts deciding NOT to exclude gay Scouts or Scoutmasters or atheist Scouts. The controllers are actually guys like CU and the Holy Mother Church, who used to be the authority on everything and now see that society has moved on., and people, more and more are not taking them seriously anymore.

I don't think that the Boy Scouts are committing suicide, they are just changing with the times, like they no longer sleep in WWII Surplus military tents and cots. I am sure that some Southern Baptist Churches, maybe some Catholic and Mormon Churches will disassociate themselves from the Scouts, but the organization will not disappear because of the antiquated antediluvian attitudes of guys like CU.
