Rice has done NOTHING to suggest that she was unfit to be Secretary of State.

She was not responsible for Benghazi and everyone knows this. They are just assholes using her to attack the President, and he did nothing wrong, either.

Which is why we have Secretary of State Kerry.

Rice did what she was told to do on that infamous Sunday circuit by the White House.

And the latter is whose fitness needs to be inspected.

The opinion in my first post that has sirs all persnickety about came on the second line.

I just hope that Rice doesn't become a sock puppet for some behind the scenes scriptwriter.

I don't even remember you typing that, since it was irrelevant to what I was responding to, so not sure how you could to such an erroneous persnickety conclusion, since I clearly referenced the part that I was responding to.  Whatever

The post in question is sitting there unedited all this time.

My reason for posting, as if i have to give one, stands.

Still didn't answer my original question or refute your error, but that's ok....moving on

That one, since I was simply asking a question related to the fact of how DC works, and had nothing to do with sock puppets or being persnicked.  That's ok, though.  Your positive contributions far outweigh the occasional errors in judgement

I'm pretty sure the error was on your part when you thought i was responding to your post. I wasn't.

Rice was a suitable Secretary of State, and so is Kerry.

As was Clinton.

Rice unfortunately took on the face of Benghazi at a time when a more suitable face do to coverups was not available.

In defending her , BHO once stated that it was unfair to criticise her because she was not in the know.

To me this indicates that she went on five Sunday talk shows to repeat the talking points because she was ordered to do so.

Ms. Rice is a faithfull , loyal ,obedient Obamatrooper,  isn't that enough qualification?

Which is fine for the UN .

National Security Advisor to me would require a different skillset.

I'm pretty sure the error was on your part when you thought i was responding to your post. I wasn't.

You WERE making an effort to judge what was causing my supposed "persnikitiness".  As I demonstrated, you were in error of that judgement. But as I said, it's ok, all is forgiven

Well it is fairly obvious to all that you are intent in continuing to cover up your original mistake of thing my post was in reply to yours. It wasn't, no matter how much you insist my statement of fact was not an opinion when the second part of my post obviously was.

You admitted you didn't recall reading that part, and every post you have made since shows you didn't.

But just so perhaps this misstep of your can become a learning moment for you

Facts are facts and opi9nions are opinions and yes they can reside in the same post.

Hope this proves helpful to you in the future.

Sirs seems to like to end every discussion in some morass of nonsense about what he said not actually meaning what he said or meant to say.

I saw no errors on Rice's part in her job as UN ambassador, and no reason to disqualify her from the Secretary of State position. She appeared on TV to answer questions about Benghazi and said what she understood to be true about a chaotic situation that she did not witness and had no control over.

As for her being NSA, she could not possibly do worse than Condoleeza Rice, who presided over 9-11.  I note here that after this disaster, the rightwingers here were still suggesting that she should be president.

Her taste in shoes and ability to play the piano were awesome, however.
