If Nevada wants to own federal land, they would need to tax Nevadans and use the money to BUY it. Why should the Federal government hand over a source of revenue free gratis to Nevada or anyone?  How does that make sense?

This question was apparently missed...... And if, we the people" owned the surrounding land and it was ok for grazing yesterday, what changed to make it some federal crime today?

The land that his family has grazed cattle on for decades became a
"designated habitat for the federally protected desert tortoise".

uh ohhh........if this story has any legs.....well, if it were a Republican, it wouldn't even require legs, but am I hearing that what's really behind this is a literal land grab, for one of Senator Reid's family, to try and start up some "alternative energy" plant??

Would this not be massive news, if it had any validity?

Why do liberals hate Bundy for dodging taxes when illegal immigrants do the same?

There's a plethora of politicians, most with a (D) after their names, who were even embraced by this administration, despie their apparent inability to pay their taxes.  But as I referenced above, I think this situation is far more nefarious....and with Reid's fingerprints all over it

That was well done.

Plane to be honest I am not sure everything in that video is accurate.

Snopes seems to claim some of it is not true.
(btw...I don't 100% trust Snopes either)

I am still looking into the whole Bundy Ranch story because
I think we are not getting the complete story from either side.

Bundy was not accused of dodging taxes, he was accused of not paying rent to the Feds for using grazing land that belonged to the Feds. He even admitted this.

If you'd been up to speed Professor, taxes WAS one of the accusations being made.  Initially it was somewhere around 2million in back taxes.  Then it came down to 200K.  Dovetailed into land that was beholden to desert tortises.  Now the excuse is rent.  Looking forward to the investigation reporting that really gets to the heart of this debacle, and its not going to be about any damn tortise
