I understand to anybody who owns a business sickdays is a liberal waste of money

But i have blood pressure of 230 over 125 and how exactly do I take care of that if I don`t have a sickday

and most doctor don`t do weekends

I go to the E.R. 3 times a year now to deal with my illnesses.
I very much doubt I`m alone with this

24 Hour health care in San Francisco: http://www.sfoncall.com/ I'm sure there are many more like this.

Another example of an un-needed law.

that`s not covered on my health plan
so I need to pay abit more than my co-pay to do that
remember overall medicine is ONLY avialable during business hours
so people are expected lose time & pay for medical services
also your link is offering something that`s extremely rare
I`ve been looking for off hour help for years.
this is not a common service
I hope they do well .
but damn do they need to advertise
I never heard of them.

Depends. They list on their website that they are preferred providers for a number of insurance companies. Also, with an appointment, you should not have to shell out more than the co-pay. I believe their site even said something like "hours 9am-5pm or by appointment". If their's didn't, I found another one that did.

And I did it in a few minutes from thousands of miles away. Imagine what I could do if I had a local phone book.

I think it maybe harder on book, since there is no searching programs to help
also i just called my insurance, they said no unless it`s an emergency.
and i looked at their fee`s it abit more than I usually pay.
they really should advertise.
uc hospital as a selling point state they got after hours care.
actually things might change in the near future .
with all this talk that medicine is alittle costly.
afterhours care may get popular
maybe.
I still haven`t met my primary care doctor.
I work for a living .
now i might see him or her

Many phone books now have online counterparts with search utilities. Also, the yellow pages should have a section for "medical clinics".

also i just called my insurance, they said no unless it`s an emergency.

Well, duh. Actually, it depends on how it's submitted to them. If they are are an approved facility, and it's submitted as an "office visit" then the insurance company should pay all but the co-pay on it.

Also, many insurance companies have websites with their approved doctors on them - many doctors now have extended hours on certain days or weekend hours. You just need to spend some time looking.

Besides, as Lanya said (before she edited her post) - they can't stop you from taking a day off to go to the doctor. They're just not obligated to pay you for that time. The FMLA says they can't fire you for taking time off for medical reasons, either.

Please go to a doc-in-a-box to get your BP taken and get what meds you need.  If it is still up you need ACTION. Gotta do something, or you'll be worse off. Those urgent care places are more expensive but  it's your life.  That is worth the stars.
Consider a bad-case scenario: your BP is up, you have a stroke, you recover partially. NOt enough to do your present job. You're partially paralyzed or can't talk well or something.  If you're lucky, in 7 or 8 months they would classify you as disabled and you'd get a small stipend.  Until then---no money coming in.

Urgent care. Please.

Kimba,
Keep going. That's the biggest problem they see, evidently.  Can lead to a  whole lot of serious problems, so they tend to dwell on it more than a cough.
