Hysterical Hypocrisy
« on: May 09, 2014, 10:46:42 AM »
While Senate leader Reid tries to put the Koch Brothers into every negative scenario affecting this country, both domestic and foreign, decrying their donations as un-american, because it apparently makes Republicans do their will, a certain BIPARTISAN effort was made to bring about a vote on the Keystone pipeline, that had BIPARTISAN SUPPORT.  And what did Reid do?   Prevented it from even being voted on.  Guess who's a big opponent of the Keystone pipeline.  A Soros-like major Democrat donor by the name of Tom Steyer.

So next time you see Reid decrying how un american and evil the Kochs are for their supposed influence at manipulating policy with their donations, try not to laugh too hard at the hypocritical clown currently running the Senate

Harry "Corruption" Reid is a senile old fool that should retire to a nursing home!

That would be Mitch McConnell who needs to be trucked off to the Old Turtles Home.

...not to mention those cool-aide coated sychophants, also trying to lay claim as to how evil the Kochs are, while completely turning a blind eye to their own "un-american" versions, such as Steyer & Soros

 ::)    so weak & transparent

Let's try another approach.......are the Kochs "horrible Anti-Americans" because the donate lots of $$$$ towards the political process, gaining them supposed access and policy favoritism that lesser folks like myself and the Professor don't get?

or

is it that they donate those $$$$ to the wrong people/organizations, per the people not receiving those $$$$?

Any non answer or attempt to simply respond with the standard insult/snark barrage demonstrates the idiocy of the allegations aimed at the Kochs, to begin with, as exemplified by Senate Clown leader, Reid.

If the answer is the former, it highlights the overt ignorance in the person making the charge, as they ignore the millions in donations being made by Liberal millionaires and billionaires, towards the political process.

If the answer is the latter, than it highlights the rank hypocrisy of the charge.

I would like to see all political campaigns entirely funded by the nation, with NO private donations, the networks required to run a specified number of informative (not attack) ads as a condition of using the public airwaves, and the entire campaign process limited to one month before primaries and another before the general elections.

As sincere as that response may have been, that was a clear dodge.  Let's ask the question again.

Why are the Kochs un-american and detrimental to the political process, that has the leader of the U.S. Senate, using his Senatorial pulpit to demagogue them & their "actions", but not a whiff of protest aimed at folks like Soros or Steyer or Weinstein or a whole host of deep pocket Dem Donators??

That is a popular Idea in this nation, everyone plays around with it when the TVs get clogged with political mud.

It could happen.

But I have a particular reason to think it isn't workable , if the government was funding the campaign , the government would be deciding what was and wasn't a legitimate candidate , power would simply stop changing hands .

We already have too much power in incumbency , we should not make the incumbents even stronger against change.

Other countries limit their election campaigns and are often better run than the US.
The Koch Brothers are infinitely more wealthy than any of the bagger bugaboos you name, and are dedicated to amassing more wealth at the expense of everyone else. Soros does not attempt to get the country to burn more oil and coal. He is simply a financier. I would be happey to tax his ass off as well as the Kochs, but they are a far greater threat to the people of this country.

So, basically its the latter, in that they donate their $$$$$ to the wrong people and causes.  That puts you in the rank hypocrisy camp.  At least we have that cleared up

No , not in fact.

And Soros generally makes his money betting against the value of the dollar, this looks a lot like a conflict of interest to me he is financing the side that he thinks is bad for our prosperity .
