NSA spying is beyond belief
« on: May 14, 2014, 09:11:42 PM »
This video is long, but when you get a chance watch it. This guy exposes the extreme levels the US Gvt via the NSA is spying on Americans, They are actually intercepting routers after they leave Cisco, opening the pkgs and attaching NSA spyware on the brand new routers and switches Americans and local communities are purchasing, then resealing the boxes, then sending them on to the unknowing buyers.

is that why our internet is so crappy.

P.S. where do they get the spyware? remember it`s Cisco`s job to detect and prevent them from their own stuff. so what U.S. company is contracted to do this?

I agree that the NSA and the CIA are entirely out of control.

Not just the government is snooping on us, either.

We need an Amendment to the Constitution guaranteeing the citizen's right to privacy.

If you think that the GOP will do one damned thing to control this, you are wrong.

Very illumitating picture of a hard core liberal.  Acknowledges that Government is out of control, especially in those institutions that specifically spy on others.  Agencies that have Democrats placed in charge/control, appointed to those positions by the head Democrat....but its the GOP that won't do "one damned thing to control this".    Notice the disconnect?     :o    Here's a hint, they're currently in no positon to control anything

Neither party seems likely to do anything about this. It should be a major issue in political campaigns, but it won't be, because both parties are complicit in supporting the CIA and the NSA, and they have been so ever since Frank Church cracked down on them in the 1970s'.

You have not heard Ted Cruz or even Rand Paul talk about this, have you?

But you couldn't come out fast enough to paint this as some GOP problem.  And right now there are so many country wide disasters the Democrat Party has gotten us into, folks like Paul & Cruz are multi-tasking as best they can.

Bottom line is that the GOP CAN'T do a damn thing about controlling this until the Dems do something to allow that.  They control the Executive branch which appoints the folks running those agencies, and the Senate, which confirms those appointments.

Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) is slated to file a class action lawsuit Wednesday against President Obama, the National Security Agency and a host of others involved in a U.S. surveillance program that collections information on millions of U.S citizens.

“I am filing a lawsuit against President Barack Obama because he has publicly refused to stop a clear and continuing violation of the 4th Amendment,” Paul said in a statement from his political action committee. “The Bill of Rights protects all citizens from general warrants.”
The Kentucky senator has been planning the lawsuit for months, which he will file in the Washington, D.C., district court as a private citizen.

Not a very exciting statement.

Again, I consider the NSA to be a serious abuser of citizens' rights to privacy. It affects all of us far more than Benghazi, anything happening in Syria or Ukraine, or Hillary Clinton's eyeglasses. The GOP could make an issue of it, but this abuse began with Cheney and Bush and continued under Obama. It is likely to continue no matter who is elected president, because the CIA and the NSA are mostly NOT political appointees,  but longtime snoops and spies.

This SHOULD be an issue for debate, but both parties have swept it under the  rug and it seems clear to me that no matter how foul these violations are, the government will continue spkingon its citizens.

I would not like to pull all of the NSAs teeth.

Their ear to the ground has been defanging the AlQuieda and lone wolves that would like to do violence as large scale as possible. This is a success story.

I would also like a modicum of privacy.

So what is the border that robs the violent of their secrecy , but doesn't prevent my privacy?

I am positive that they do not need to tap my phone or monitor my computer to catch any terrorists.  I am also annoyed by corporate collection of my data.
