The debate with anyone and everyone else I interact with, both here and AFK, proves otherwise, I'm afraid.  Sorry to burst that bubble

Most everyone else here does not debate with you or is another GOP cheerleader.

To my knowledge you have never made a valid point about anything to anyone. Mostly, you just repeat nonsense you heard somewhere.

You're again entitled to your opinion.  The facts however are not your friend.  Most everyone else here does debate with me, not to mention the plethora of friends I have who are either liberal or Democrat.  One of our best friends, a special-ed teacher, just returned from the national NEA convention, all giddy with having been there, and who they're going to support.  Here's a hint, none of them have an R after their name.

My valid points are numerous.  I have initiated many threads that were original and not copied from anywhere.  They're only equaled by this ongoing kneejerk inability to discuss things rationally or respectfully, by yourself.  And here's the kicker.....you CHOOSE to act that way.  All this foaming at the mouth energy in trying to insult and demean my commentary, that could be used to dialog with respect.  You could even ignore them, if it were "so bad".  But you CHOOSE not to.

Hehe.....here's someone that apparently repeated my nonense

Does President Obama deserve to be sued or impeached? Yes! Is there a snowball's chance in hell that either the lawsuit or an impeachment will succeed? No!

Barack Obama's repeated disregard of the laws that he is supposed to follow, and his blatantly changing these laws passed by Congress, are a threat to the whole Constitutional form of government, on which all our freedoms depend.

Once a president -- any president -- can create his own laws unilaterally, we are on our way to becoming a banana republic, where arbitrary rule from the top replaces representative government by "we the people."

Why not sue Barack Obama then, or impeach him?

For the simplest of all reasons: Neither of these actions is going to do anything to stop Obama, or even discredit him -- and both can create a distraction that draws attention away from the Democrats' disasters during an election year.

Either the lawsuit or an impeachment -- or both -- can hurt the Republicans, by making it look like they are playing Mickey Mouse politics during an election year. President Obama is already making a joke out of Speaker Boehner's threatened lawsuit by saying, "So sue me!"............

Notice now how the only ones, outside of Palin who rightfully mentioned that he should, that keeps talking about Impeachment, is the WH, and the MSM??  They keep harping on it, like it's imminent, as if the House is at this moment filing the paperwork.  Talk about transparent desperation....let's gin up a non-existent effort to impeach the president, so that we can "rally the troops" to prevent that non-existent event from existing ----> $$$$$     :o

It's all part of the plan with several goals.

They want to weaken the legislative bodies because
going forward Republicans will have a better chance
to have impact from the legislative bodies rather than
the Presidency.

They also want to roll the dice and have Obama
"take one for the team"...Obama will never run
for elective office again....so he really can't be
damaged more than he already is....so by
trying to get the Republicans to impeach Obama
they think it could help the Dems do better in the
2014 & 2016 elections. They are banking on a
"backlash" or at the very least to rally the
Democratic base who is even down on Obama now.
But if the Republicans impeach Obama the Dem base
would rally around a democratic president.

It also would be a great diversion away from
Obama's horrible record/horrible results.

They think the focus would have a good chance
of changing from Obama's failures to the
"mean ole Republicans".

I am telling you the Dems are savvy and ruthless.
They will do anything to win the 2014/2016 elections
even if impeachment of a lame-duck president is part of the cost.

Pretty accurate summation, C....and notice also how the MSM is "reporting" the latest point Boehner has been making....that short of some criminal smoking gun, there is no effort to start up impeachment.....and the MSM is reporting that as some form of "surrender".  Couldn't possibly because there was no political leg to stand on, or how much of a circus trying to impeach the 1st black President would have been.  No, it's framed to look like the GOP was pressured to take off the table, what was never on the table to begin with    :o

The Real Motivation of the President who Threatens Governors:

We got a lot of attention last week with a piece about Texas Gov. Rick Perry's revelation that,(http://www.caintv.com/video-rick-perry-reveals-that) at a recent meeting, President Obama had threatened the nation's governors that "you'll hear from me" if they criticized him about federal spending.

The whole conversation was in the context of National Guard use, but that was sort of beside the point. Obama doesn't like getting called out by anyone for the way he deploys federal resources and power, and he wanted to make it clear to the governors that they had better stay in line and not do anything that would make him look bad. Folks responded to this in a big way because they understand that when Obama starts issuing threats like this, he is acting a lot more like a dictator than like an elected and accountable leader.

But I wonder how strong the reaction would be if the population at large really recognized the Obama/Democrat Party strategy here.

We know that Obama is abusing his authority to govern via executive orders, and we need to understand exactly how he's putting himself in a position to expand the use of this tool. When Obama issues an order mandating an increase in the minimum wage, or banning "discrimination" against LGBT workers, he can't just arbitrarily issue this order for the entire country without the approval of Congress. Even he knows that. But what he can do is issue the order for all federal contractors, because as chief executive, he can set the rules to determine who qualifies as a federal contractor unless there is specific legislation to the contrary (which there won't be as long as he is president because he would veto it).

This is where the explosive growth of the federal government becomes so dangerous. As the federal government spends more and more of the nation's total wealth - and at times during Obama's presidency it has spent as much as 24.8 percent of GDP - it becomes increasingly difficult for the business community to function without touching some aspect of federal government operations. When one institution is gobbling up one-fifth to one-quarter of the nation's capital, an awful lot of companies large and small will have no choice but to seek federal contracts. You have to go where the opportunity is.

And if you want to even try to be a federal contractor, you have to follow the rules set forth by the Obama Administration - in terms of who you can hire, what you can pay and all kinds of other details large and small. So the bigger the federal government gets, the more businesses essentially fall under the rules arbitrarily dictated by Barack Obama. Even a subcontractor to a federal contractor has to follow these rules, so even if you don't seek federal contractor status, you still have to do it Obama's way if one of your customers does.

And Democrats don't care who this puts out of business. Small restaurants on federal land have succumbed to the consequences of Obama's rulemaking. That's not something they see as a problem because the ultimate objective of the Democrats is power for themselves, not the sustainability of private businesses.

So when Obama tells governors to keep their mouths shut and not criticize his spending, he's really telling them that the expansion of the federal government will not be derailed by a bunch of people in state capitals who still think the states have anything to say about how things work around here. In fact, even the states are in a precarious position because they rely heavily on federal funding for things like Medicaid and highway construction. That is one of the reasons you sometimes see Republican governors reluctant to oppose the re-election of long-time Democrat members of Congress. These Democrats have clout in Washington to keep the federal funds flowing back to their states, and the Republican governors don't like it but they know that under the current system they need that money.

This is all about power for Democrats. The more of the nation's capital that flows through Washington, the more you need the favor of those who control it, so you'd best behave yourself. Barack Obama has the money and the federal contracts that you, or someone close to you, needs to survive. Don't upset him. You wouldn't like him when he's angry.

Good article , I think it is the most likely explanation.

What would President Perry do? Invade Moldova?

He'll never be elected to any national office.

Perry was mentioned, and I commented on Perry.
Perry is politically irrelevant. Still, it was fun to watch his "debating style". Even Jerry Ford did not look as stupid when he said that USSR did not rule Poland.
