Again, opinion duly noted.  And boy, what a knee slapper his comments about 57 states were....oh wait

An interesting theory is emerging.  Despite that this President should be impeached for his wreckless disregard of the Constitutional parameters of the Executive branch, as set forth by the Constitution, punctuated by his apparent imminent executive order(s) to defer deportation of millions of illegal immigrants, contrary to clear law that says otherwise, he won't be, based on the media circus the left and MSM would cause, with the idea that the GOP is trying to lynch, I mean impeach the 1st Black President.  A circus that would make the Clinton impeachment look like Sunday School.

So, since there won't be, is that why Obama is going to do exactly what he said not a year ago, that he couldn't, not allowed to, and wouldn't, because the Constitution made it clear he couldn't?  To literally create a Constitutional crisis, hoping the GOP takes the bait and tries to make the mid term elections all about impeachment

The Dems are looking at an epic disaster this coming mid term, losing more seats in the House and granting the GOP complete control of the Legislative branch, as they're likely to retake the senate.  What a shrewed and better way to try and keep that from happening....make the GOP push impeachment, thus handing the Dems exactly what they need...a diversion from the grotesque failures of the Democrat Agenda & Obama's policies, from the stagnant ecomomy, out of control debt & spending, to foreign policy coming to a crash, punctuated by Obamacare.

Barring some smoking gun confession of Obama sicking the IRS on conservative groups, and even then, probably wouldn't be enough to impeach Obama, the GOP needs to make it clear that there is no intention of impeachment.  Let the President perform is imperial handiwork, and watch the repercussions from that.  There's gonna be lots of garbage to clean up by the next GOP President, whoever that may be

Well, we're only talking 8 years, but that 8 years of garbage more than matches the 3 decades prior

The Republican'ts have no viable candidates, and every year the proportion of Old White Guys decreases.

There's a whole host of great candidates, but that's for a different topic & thread if you wish to discuss their pros & cons.  And here's a hint, just because they have an (R) after their name doesn't automatically make them non-viable

The three decades I deem to be from 2016 through 2046, in which the GOP will have to completely restructure itself.

Why?

Is it a good idea to have a two party system in which the two parties are as alike as possible?

Let the Democrats continue to promise the moon to the biggest possible tent, this does not appeal to me.

It will have to restructure itself because its constituents are dead and/or no longer are irrelevant Just as the Democratic Party has=d to restructure itself when the tiny slaveholding plantation aristocracy that once were destroyed. The Angry Old White Guy Party cannot win elections when the Angry Old White Guy supply runs out.

Which is the whole point of this thread, and yet the Dems keep bellowing as if they will/intend to

This is a stupid topic to harp, harp, harp on

I agree.  Try sending a message to the Democrats to stop harping on a non-issue  (yes, yes, I know they don't read this sight or respond to your personal requests, Professor literal, the reference was again rhetorical)

That is still the most reliable voting demographic. The most engaged, passionate and well briefed .

When another demographic starts to care about the nation enough to do the homework , they will vote Republican too.

Please note that the GOP only kvetches about the budget when the Democrats have some control over it.

When some clever soul mentioned that invading Iraq and fighting in Afghanistan would make for huge, towering deficits, the message from Dick Cheney was, "Deficrts don't matter."

I agree they piss away far too much money, but on  weapons that are essentially obsolete, like manned aircraft and new carrier groups.

Every year there are fewer angry ole white gys, Like that moron in Alabama that claims that the Democrats have a "war on Whites".
