not sure many words start off as meaning offensive. well now that i think of it the movie grand torino had the most offensive word that few today knows. zipperhead is completely bad but clint`s character was really too stupid to know better.

zipperhead is what asian are called because when you shoot a asian head with a gun it looks like a zipper opened.

Kimba why would that be only Asian heads?
wouldn't any human head shot look about the same?

I thought it had to do with the shape of the eyes.

before that movie I never heard of the word but my brother inlaw is 14 years older than me and he`s not comfortable with that word at all. meaning that word was pretty common at one time in america. it faded when I finally came to the states in the 80`s.

I had heard it  before from some Vietnam vets  before Gran Torino,  but it is rarely used.

That movie had the most anti-asian terms i ever heard in films and because of clints genuis i was not in the least offended. But if i ever hear those words in real life i would not be so forgiving i very much doubt  the context will be innocent.
